The Honeymoon Trio play songs and tunes from that vintage era that followed the 1920's through to the start of the second world war. Songs and tunes from the cafe bars and dance halls of 1930's Europe including many of the Great American Song Book classics of the time, some of which have been made popular more recently in television and advertising.
A subtle blend of violin, accordion and guitar with soulful harmony vocals reminiscent of Al Bowley, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire etc.
Has been singing and playing in front of big bands and small bands for many years, in various styles from Bowie to Elvis, Ferry to Astaire. He has developed a timeless style and delivery, just right for the comfortable vintage mood of the Honeymoon trio.
Swapped classical piano for accordion; has played traditional English & French dance music for a really long time; formed Finality Jack & Boldwood; is a guest tutor for the National Youth Folk Ensemble; has played & taught at countless venues & festivals across the UK & Europe, including of course, the unforgettable Severn & Trent Waterways Family Fun Day in 1999. What a day that was.
Has been playing the violin and singing since childhood, which is a very long time, decades of Irish music, Bluegrass and Jazz have shaped the voice and the style into something unique!
